The block is <\/span><b>pure structure<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The object begins as <\/span><b>obedient matter<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as seen in brutalist architecture or industrial structural elements.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>The central gesture: the fracture<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The intervention is not a clean cut or a technical perforation. It is a <\/span><b>violent rupture<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The surface is not designed: it is <\/span><b>torn away<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Several characteristics of a real concrete fracture become visible:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; exposed micro-strata of the material<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; visible aggregates in certain areas<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; pulverized zones and torn sections<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; radial irregularity around the point of impact<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This introduces a <\/span><b>second material logic<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> opposed to the initial order, where order (prism, plane, control) is placed under tension against violence (fracture, roughness, accident). The piece exists precisely within that tension.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is not a broken block, but <\/span><b>a block that reveals its interior through a wound<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>The emergence of light<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The light is not placed onto the piece; it <\/span><b>exists within the fracture<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This completely alters the reading of the object.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is not decorative illumination but <\/span><b>energy contained within the mass<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that becomes visible when the material breaks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Visually, something interesting happens:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; the concrete absorbs light<br \/>\n&#8211; <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the fracture reflects it<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; the cement dust diffuses it<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That is why the glow is not clean. It is <\/span><b>incandescent and mineral<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The light appears to emerge from the material, not from a device.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>The internal geometry<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within the fracture, a <\/span><b>perfectly controlled vertical line<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> appears. This generates an extremely powerful contradiction, where a chaotic, irregular, and eroded exterior reveals an interior element that is straight, precise, and clearly technical. <\/span><b>Chaos revealing structure.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The line of light functions as a visual axis which, acting as an energetic core, defines the very backbone of the object.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fracture seems to occur <\/span><b>in order to let it escape<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Relationship between mass and energy<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here, the concrete acts as a <\/span><b>container of force<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The piece does not represent a fracture, but <\/span><b>the moment of release.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A frozen instant where the temperature of the light is also key. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Its incandescent amber tone brings the composition closer to an almost geological reading, where a thread of magma in the form of light generates an energy source that pushes against its containing mass. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Composition and direction<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fracture is positioned <\/span><b>off-center, toward the edge of the block<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is compositionaly critical, as a centered placement would result in symmetry and a more decorative reading.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By being displaced, the block retains its weight while the piece gains direction through this lateral tension.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The object is not static. The energy appears to be <\/span><b>escaping toward one side<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Brutalist reading<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is a clear connection to brutalism, but reinterpreted. Brutalist architecture exposed concrete, structure, and construction.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here, something different happens: <\/span><b>it does not show how it is built,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> but how it breaks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is brutalism taken to its conceptual extreme: architecture subjected to violence.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>The numbered plate<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The small metal plate on the side introduces a very interesting detail.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In contrast to the violent gesture of the fracture, a <\/span><b>rational and administrative gesture<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> appears: serial number, identification, registration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is almost ironic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A piece that appears to have exploded from within is cataloged, numbered, and controlled, introducing a strong conceptual layer: <\/span><b>unique violence within a limited production system.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Series of 100. Each fracture is irreproducible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All units include an identification plate integrated into the piece and a certificate of authenticity.<\/p>\n<p>Designed for indoor use.
